Who we are
Life in the UK Study operates this study service. For data protection law, we are the data controller. Contact us at support@example.com.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and sign-in credentials, handled by our authentication provider.
- Study data — which questions you answered, whether you got them right, your mock scores and your settings.
- Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We store only your customer reference and subscription status. We never see or store your card details.
- Technical data — basic request logs needed to run and secure the service.
Why we use it
To provide the service you signed up for (performing our contract with you), to take payment, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the processors that run the service: our authentication provider, Stripe for payments, and Cloudflare for hosting. Each handles data under its own terms and only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Your study data is kept while your account is open. If you delete your account it is erased immediately. Stripe keeps payment records for the period required by tax and accounting law.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or erase your data. The account page has one-click buttons for downloading everything we hold and for permanently deleting your account. You can also object to processing or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: one to keep you signed in, and one to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.
